Many thanks to Mike Taylor for getting us over to Hessle yesterday morning. 5 adults, 4 suitcases and 4 rucksacks made for a rather full car.
The day started with an easy stroll under the Humber Bridge and along the banks of the Number for 3 miles. We then turned right, headed north and started to find the real Wolds scenery.
For myself and Sam a 19 mile walk, whilst not being easy for us, was something that we had experienced several times on last years walk. For Chris & Jo this was a walk into unknown territories.
It was a hot day and their were quite a few short but steep climbs out of the valleys. The day finished in North New bald with Sam applying an ice pack to his knee and Chris & Jo just being totally spent. Well done to them for a great effort.
