It is with great sadness that we have to report the death of former President, Chairman and Committee member Tim Tunnard aged 94 years. Tim joined the Committee in 1968 and he was a key player in the development and modernisation of the Show Society. He was responsible for founding the Friends membership scheme in 1994. From its humble beginnings of a few dozen members in its init ial year it now boasts over one hundred joint members and forty single members. Tim was the archetypal gentleman who went about his business in a methodical and unassuming manner. He and his wife Margaret had just recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. For those looking for a role model you need not look any further than the examples set by Tim, “an all round good guy”.
