The Pennine Way – A journey to new limits

We are now up to day 16 of 21. Well over 200 miles walked. This is totally new territory for both of us both physically and mentalily. We have gone through some fantastic scenery and high emotions in the last few days. The walk up the South Tees valley, the climb up Cauldron Spout, the views over High Cup Nick, the climb out of Dufton and then arriving at the highest part of the walk at Cross Fell (899m).
Surprisingly we are both doing very well with absolutely no Compeed being used. We are now in Roman Wall territory and looking forward to a very easy walk today. After that the next four days will be a real challenge trekking through the wilds of Northumberland. The arrival in Kirk Yetholm will with be great emotion having then completed over 270 mie of walking.
