The Companion Dog Show at this year’s Tockwith Show raised a fabulous £215 for local charity Keep Your Pet. Jonathan Cowap of BBC Radio York (a keen supporter of KYP) accepted the cheque from Tockwith Show’s Sally Walker – pictured here with Julia Perl Cluderay, Chair of KYP Fundraising Committee. Jonathan visited the Show on 5th August and had the unenviable task of judging the Best Young Handler Class won by Ethan Knights with the delightful Cockerpoo, Rolo.
Keep Your Pet provides short-term assistance for pet owners who are older or vulnerable at times of health or other emergencies. They offer services such as dog walking, visiting a home to feed an animal, taking an animal to the vet and short term fostering. These services are provided by volunteers who have undergone rigorous vetting and training.
