Show Setup – Day 4

The biggest expense in running a show like ours is the Marquee hire. This morning bright and early Fletchers turned up to start setting up all of our marquees. It\’s a job that usually takes them 3 days to complete as they have to erect over 260 metres of canvas (9 separate tents).

We finished off the sheep pens today though we did have to abandon for lunch when the heavens opened. Thankfully the rain didn\’t last to long. We do have a record sheep entry this year.

Today was the last day for entries for some sections and the others will be closing very shortly (though I\’m sure if you ask the class steward nicely they\’ll let you enter if your a little bit late).
