Sam Blacker for President! And thank you Mick Bell!

The Tockwith Show committee would like to thank Mick Bell for his very successful year as President. Even with some ill health Mick has done a sterling job and his nominated charities have benefited greatly. Mick\’s on going support for the show (as a class sponsor etc.) is also greatly appreciated.

But as always at the AGM the outgoing president welcomes in the new president with the handing over of the ceremonial Shepherds Crook. Mick has now handed over the role to ex chairperson and long time supporter of the show Sam Blacker.

\"Mick

Sam comes to the role with the aim of promoting education in and of the countryside. He also aims to promote and raise money for his two nominated charities. Sam this year will be supporting the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and also the lesser known (but just as important) Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI). Further information on Sam, his educational aspirations and his nominated charities will be added shortly to the President\’s page on the web site.

News Flash: Sam has just signed up to undertake the 192 mile coast to coast walk from St Bees to Robin Hoods Bay next August. The walk will take 14 days and will be a fund raiser for his charities.

The president elect (for 2015) is Stuart Cograve.

The show would also like to thank retiring committee members Clive Billiness, Anna Jackson and Anne Taylor for their years of service to the show. We wish them all the best for the future.
