Pennine Way – A bit of an update

So we have just completed day 10 of 21. Very nearly half way there. So many varying terrains and conditions. 3 days ago we were being battered by storm Hector. Possibly the worst conditions that I have ever walked in. Fountains Fell was nearly a place too far. We then had to follow it by an ascent of Pen Y Ghent in gale force winds. For the first time Sam actually admitted to being nervous. We\’ve since had some pretty wet weather and to cap it all yesterday just as everyone in Keld was preparing evening meals there was a power cut. We ended up with fish and chips from Kirby Stephen.
