FOOD, FLOWERS AND FUN!
Things are hotting up as preparations get underway for Tockwith\’s first Food, Flower and Fun Day, taking place on May Day Bank Holiday.
On May 5th, the Show Field on Cattal Moor Lane in Tockwith will be transformed by a colourful array of stalls, marquees and tents, as local enterprises come together to show off their expertise and promote home grown and home-made produce. There will be tasty cheeses, spicy sauces, juices, jams, honey and pickles, alongside bedding plants, garden pots and floral scarves.
The Demonstration Marquee will be the place to learn how to cook delicious \’One Pan Wonders\’, how to create a stunning bouquet, watch as energising juices are whisked up in seconds, and have all your gardeners\’ questions answered by experts. Carnivorous plants will be on show, ready to trap any pesky flies that happen along.
In the Children\’s Marquee the RSPB painting competition entries will be on display ready for judging, while the kids can try out milking a cow, join in our Treasure Hunt and have their faces painted.
The Show opens at 11am so come and visit our Catering Marquee for brunch , lunch or afternoon tea. Entry is £4 for adults, children under 16 free of charge. Well behaved dogs on leads are very welcome.
There\’s definitely something for everyone!
