This will be the second year running that the main sponsor of Tockwith Show will be Wetherby-based Discount Feeds.
Discount Feeds is a locally run business within walking distance of Wetherby town centre which has been established since February 2009 and is open to both the public and trade.
It sells feeds and accessories for all types of animals including small animals, dogs, cat’s, wild birds, small holding and horses.
The Company owner Jo Sutton’s first experience of Tockwith Show was when she competed in the pony class as a 12 year old girl.
“I remember how excited I was then and know just how important the show is to the thousands of people – both competitors and visitors – it has attracted each year,” she said.
Since it opened Discount Feeds has gone from strength to strength. “We have always aimed to offer out feeds at the most competitive prices,” said Jo, “and our customers seem to appreciate it.
“If for any reason we don’t stock the feed they are looking for we can always offer alternatives or specially order the feed in.”
Jo says deciding to be main sponsor for another year was an easy decision to make.
“Last year was so successful and it was great to be part of such a big event. Lots of people clearly appreciated our involvement in the show and we also found a lot of people who hadn’t previously heard of us, so deciding to sponsor was really something of a no-brainer for us.”
