Coast 2 Coast days 8 & 9

Day 8 saw us walking from Kirkby Stephen up to 9 Standards and then over a very boggy moor to Keld. Got caught in the rain for the last hour but really quite a nice day. Sam\’s sore Achilles was a bit better after our trip to the local chemists. No internet connection or mobile reception made Keld a pretty remote place.

Day 9 was from Keld to Reeth via a couple of spectacular gorges, lead mining ruins and some quite barren landscape. 5 days left but they include 17, 19 and 23 mile days!
