Coast 2 Coast Day 11

It was a long slog today. 24 miles over a quite flat but really quite uninteresting terrain (compared to the lakes and the dales) has left us with some very sore feet. Many thanks to the construction firm building the A1 motorway upgrade as they had closed the proper foot path and given us a 1 mile diversion. Ingleby Cross was a very welcome site tonight with Sam declaring that 100 more yards would have been to much! Many thanks to every one for the messages of support today.
On a very serious note Simon Mack is quite poorly at the moment being in intensive care in York hospital. It\’s not known what is wrong with him yet but our thoughts tonight are with him and his family.
